Earth Day April 22

Earth Day

To mark Earth Day, April 22, the Town of Bridgton, LEA, Loon Echo Land Trust and the Bridgton Community Center are collaborating on a town wide clean up. Before the clean up, LEA is offering a Caplan Family Environmental Education Series event exploring the aquatic life in Stevens Brook. We will meet outside the community center at 10:00 AM and walk down to the brook for some hands-on exploration of the creatures that live in the brook and what they can tell us about one of downtown’s most prominent landmarks. This family friendly event will be hands-on with nets, microscopes and hip boots. The water is high so bring your best water shoes or hip boots and a sense of adventure!

Stick around afterwards for kite making and to be part of the clean up team. Loon Echo will wrap up the day with a guided hike to the summit of Bald Pate. See the attached flyer for all of the details. Earth Day Flyer
