Marriage Licenses

Marriage Intentions and Marriage Licenses are available at the Town Office.

Maine residents must file marriage intentions and obtain a marriage license from only one town if the bride and groom reside in different Maine towns.

Non-Residents who wish to marry in Maine may file marriage intentions and obtain a marriage license form any Maine town that issues marriage licenses.

Bride and groom must show photo ID, have their social security numbers and if there were previous marriages, they must show either a certified death certificate or a certified or true attested copy of their last divorce decree.

Victualers Licenses

A Victualers License is a license to sell food already prepared for human
consumption. To obtain a license you will need to contact the Town Office.
After you have had a license, the Town Office will send a reminder to you each
year. The price of the license is $10.00. The expiration date is May 31^st
of each year. A Victualers License should be placed in a prominent place in
